BIOGRAPHY

Robert is from Raleigh, NC and has been involved in music since he was a child.  He is active in his church, singing in children’s and adult choir.

Robert was born with a speech impediment, and has stuttered since childhood.  To help him through speech difficulties, his parents enrolled him in speech therapy and vocal lessons.  His parents, especially his mother, loves Elvis, and he grew up listening to him on cassette tapes, CD’s, and the radio.

“As I was learning to sing, Elvis had a significant impact on my life as I was struggling to accept who I was, and to find my voice” Says Robert. “I learned that although it is difficult to speak at times, I did not have any trouble singing.  I found solace in being able to communicate in song what was difficult to speak.”

Performing as an Elvis Tribute Artist is truly an honor and Robert hopes to encourage those who may be struggling with their own difficulties, to step outside their comfort zone and realize their full potential.

“Elvis was one of the most generous men that ever lived helping countless people throughout his career.  Although I may not have his financial means, if I can be the example to someone struggling of what it means to courageously put yourself out there, amidst the criticism, to pursue your dreams, then I will have done what God put me on this earth to do.”
